Sanrafaeria ruffonammari Verdc. A new plant from East Usambara was honoured to him by Bernard Verdcourt of Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, England in 1998. The specimen was Ruffo & Mmari 1739 (K, holotype; TFD, isotype). Collected from Kwamgumi Forest Reserve, Muheza District, Tanga, Tanzania. Floristic Region T3, in November, 1986.
Identification and labelling of plants at the State House in Dar-es-salaam in 1971 and 1977 and Zanzibar State House in 1981.
